About the Role

As a Geography Teacher, you will play a crucial role in creating a positive and stimulating learning environment. The ideal candidate is not only knowledgeable about geography but also enthusiastic about making geographical studies accessible and engaging for students with diverse abilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Deliver engaging and comprehensive geography lessons aligned with the school's curriculum standards, ensuring that students are well-prepared for assessments and future academic challenges.
  2. Implement differentiated teaching strategies to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities within the classroom, ensuring that each student has the opportunity to succeed.
  3. Utilise innovative teaching methods, incorporating technology and real-world examples to make geography relevant and captivating for students.
  4. Regularly assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their academic growth. Collaborate with colleagues to analyse assessment data and refine teaching practices.
  5. Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes respectful behaviour and encourages a love for geography among students.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Geography, or a related field; a master’s degree is a plus.
  • PGCE/QTS/QTLS
  • Proven experience teaching Geography at the secondary level is preferred, not mandatory.
  • Familiarity with and commitment to the principles of the school’s curriculum.
