Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging English lessons that cater to the diverse needs and abilities of pupils.
- Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment where pupils feel encouraged to participate and excel.
- Assess pupil progress through various formative and summative assessment methods and provide constructive feedback.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective teaching strategies and curriculum enhancements.
- Communicate regularly with pupils, parents, and colleagues to discuss student progress, academic goals, and any concerns.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification.
- Bachelor's degree in English, Education, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Proven experience as an English Teacher, preferably in a secondary school setting.
- Excellent command of the English language with strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Passion for teaching and dedication to fostering a love of literature and language among pupils.
- Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of pupils.
- Strong organisational skills and ability to effectively manage time and resources.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and staying abreast of current trends and best practices in education.
