What You'll Be Doing as a 1:1 Support Assistant:
- Providing dedicated 1:1 support to students with a variety of SEN needs, including autism and social-emotional challenges.
- Work alongside teachers and SEN staff to create a positive, inclusive learning environment.
- Supporting behaviour management and encouraging participation through tailored strategies.
- Adapting your approach to meet the unique needs of each learner – academically and emotionally.
What We're Looking For:
- Strong knowledge of behaviour management techniques.
- Experience working with children who have SEN, including autism, physical disabilities, and language disorders.
- Relevant qualifications in education or special educational needs.
- A compassionate, adaptable, and patient mindset.
- Commitment to professional development in SEN practices.
- A DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).
To work with GSL Education as a 1:1 Support Assistant, you should:
- Have the right to work in the UK.
- Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years.
- Have a DBS registered to the update service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education
