Learning Support Assistant
Contract Type: Part-Time, Temporary

Pay: £70 to £110 dependent on experience*

Whats the job?
We are looking for a proactive Learning Support Assistant to support pupils during the school day, including supervising the midday break in both indoor and outdoor areas, ensuring a safe environment. You will also assist the Headteacher and SENCO in promoting pupils academic, social, and emotional development, helping to implement individual and group work programmes, and providing a caring learning environment where children can achieve their full potential. Who are you?
Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent.
Experience working with SEN pupils.
Strong knowledge of safeguarding and health & safety.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
A patient, compassionate, and proactive approach.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in delivering tailored learning activities under teacher supervision.
Support therapy and care programmes.
Monitor pupil progress and report to the teacher.
Help implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
Manage challenging behaviour and provide emotional support.
Supervise pupils during school activities and outings.
Maintain learning resources and assist with specialist equipment.
