Experienced Learning Support Assistant's needed - Secondary SEN School in Portsmouth - ASAP start!!Academics are recruiting on behalf of an 'Outstanding' Secondary SEN School in the Cosham area of Portsmouth who have an urgent need for four experienced Learning Support Assistant's to join their team ASAP!This is a full-time, term-time position - working hours are 8.30am - 3.30pm.

The school caters for approximately 165 pupils aged 11-16 years who have complex learning difficulties. In addition to their learning difficulties, some pupils have other needs associated with autistic spectrum condition, speech, language and communication difficulties and medical conditions. Due to the needs of the pupils, this is ideal for someone with previous SEN experience, or a willingness to work with children with special educational needs.

These LSA roles are to start ASAP, full-time, term-time until Christmas as a minimum. If you get on well, there is always the opportunity of a permanent position.

You will be required to support students on a 1:1 and small group basis, both in and outside of the classroom. The class sizes are small so they are able to tailor learning to their individual needs.
