A specialist school for children with profound severe and complex learning difficulties, based in Portsmouth, are looking for bright and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant's available to start in September! The school have 3 sites for pupil's ages 2 to 19 years, they are in need of support for children with co-occurring needs including, behaviour and mental health issues, autistic spectrum condition, severe physical disabilities and highly complex medical conditions. Due to the complex needs of the students within the schools, ideally you will have relevant, recent experience or qualifications, we will consider candidates qualified in Psychology, Counselling or Criminology but other subjects will also be considered. This is a FANTASTIC opportunity for any Psychology Graduate to work alongside the therapists and psychologists based on-site at school. You will be mentored and have the opportunity to shadow sessions and learn from them. Plus you will gain invaluable experience working with Special Needs and Mental Health issues. This is a great opportunity for an aspiring educational or occupational psychologist, therapeutic support worker or SEN teacher.

The School is looking for SEN Teaching Assistants who can bring enthusiasm, passion and experience to the classroom. They are looking for SEN TA's who will be proactive and adaptable and be able to use their own initiative. Resilience and confidence to work with challenging behaviour is desirable!
