A specialist school for children with profound severe and complex learning difficulties, based in Portsmouth, are looking for bright and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant's available to start in January!The school have 3 sites for pupil's ages 2 to 19 years, they are in need of support for children with co-occurring needs including, behaviour and mental health issues, autistic spectrum condition, severe physical disabilities and highly complex medical conditions.Due to the complex needs of the students within the schools, ideally you will have relevant, recent experience or qualifications, we will consider candidates qualified in Psychology, Counselling or Criminology but other subjects will also be considered.The schools are across Portsmouth and they are looking to fill vacancies for full-time Teaching Assistants starting in January 2024. The SEN children are aged 2 to 19 and require consistent, ongoing support in order to ensure they have the highest quality of care and child-centred support.The School is looking for SEN Teaching Assistants who can bring enthusiasm, passion and experience to the classroom. They are looking for SEN TA's who will be proactive and adaptable and be able to use their own initiative. Resilience and confidence to work with challenging behaviour is desirable!
