Belcan Workforce Solutions are seeking a Project Manager - Secure Communications
on a 12-month contract to join our client's Secure Communications Project Management Team in Portsmouth.
The client is offering £60.00 per hour Umbrella, the role is Inside of IR35. This is a hybrid opportunity and will require a minimum of 3 days per week on-site in Portsmouth.
Overview of the role:
Our client is seeking an experienced Project Manager with excellent leadership and communication skills to join their Secure Communications Project Management Team. The successful candidate will lead the delivery phase of complex military satellite communications projects and provide project initiation and planning expertise in associated business-winning campaigns.
Responsibilities:
As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Project Initiation
- Project Planning
- Project Execution
- Project Monitoring, Controlling, and Closing of projects
- Delivering complex secure communications infrastructure and services
- Managing projects in accordance with the project lifecycle standards and being accountable for the quality, cost, and schedule performance of the project
Skillset & Experience:
Essential:
- A good understanding of the PMI Project Management body of knowledge
- A basic understanding of AGILE project management
- Solid experience in a similar role, approving initial briefs/baselines, delivering projects, and supporting bids in an engineering environment, ideally within the communications, aerospace, space, or defence industries
Desirable:
- A degree or equivalent in project management, business management, or a relevant engineering discipline
- A good technical background to support your project management role
- STEM degree or equivalent
- PMI/PMP certification
Given the role's nature, the selected candidate will undergo BPSS clearance before commencing and will subsequently obtain SC clearance.
