Copello are pleased to be partnered with a global engineering and manufacturing company who specialise in the Marine sector, on the recruitment of a permanent Senior Test Engineer based in the Portsmouth area.
As part of the Test & Validation team, this role provides technical support services to perform testing and evaluation.
Within this role the responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Develop and implement high quality testing plans for product testing.
- Create Test plans, rig allocation, rig hardware requirements.
- Assemble test rigs, monitor rig operations, product inspections.
- Draw up test hardware, such as adaptor plates and test shafts.
Ideal candidates will have:
- Experienced Test Engineer working within a test facility / lab
- Mechanical engineering background (mechanical seals ideally) with some exposure to Electrical .
- Ability to read technical drawings using and liaise with cross functional teams such as R&D.
- Ability to interpret design drawings and use CAD software to draw test hardware.
- Marine industry background ideally or other regulated testing facility / laboratory will be considered.
- Self sufficient
- Degree or Masters within a Engineering subject
- Calibration experience
- Thermocouples experience
