Your Company:An manufacturing business is searching the market for a Detail Grinder to join their team located in the Portsmouth area. This business has been experiencing a stable period of expansion and success in recent years and have grown their customer reach to a global level, and cover various industries such as aerospace, automotive, telecommunications, medical and consumer electronics.The position holder will be supporting the team working on not only manufacturing products, but also the team of dedicated workers who oversee the building of the production equipment. It will be a varied role and an opportunity to work in a business where work will be highly valued.Your Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Providing support on both manufacturing and project work
  • Undertaking plate and varied form grinding, specifically using a Jones & Shipman 540x
  • Utilising camera and opti-dress systems to create forms on the grinding wheels
  • Ensuring that all finished products are quality checked
  • Proactively recording and reporting any issues that arise 
What you will need to Apply:The ideal candidate for this role will be an experienced grinder, with experience in manual grinding and have worked within a comparable role. Applicants must have a good level of communication skills, both in written and verbal form and they must be able to work independently and as part of a wider team.
