We are currently assisting our client who is looking to hire an experienced HGV Technician for their Portsmouth Depot. The role involves carrying out all aspects of service, repair and maintenance work on all commercial vehicles that are booked into the workshop. You will liaise with the Workshop Controller and Service Team to ensure the best customer service for their clients.

Duties:

  • Calculate and manage the effective use of workshop resources for the business.
  • Servicing vehicles - carrying out checks and maintenance according to the manufacturer’s guidelines.
  • Repairing and replacing faulty parts and components.
  • Advising the Service Receptionists about required repairs.
  • Producing time estimates.
  • Maintaining repair and service records

Person Specification:

  • Full UK Driving Licence.
  • Ideally Qualified to NVQ Level 3 or equivalent
  • Have a good attitude to work at all times.
  • Strong organisational Skills
  • Previous experience working with the HGV and/or Commercial Vehicle sector
