The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the company's financial operations and reporting on financial performance. The Management Accountant plays a key role in the control, management and improvement of all accounting processes, contributing significantly to the development of the business.

Description
- Producing accurate financial reports to specific deadlines for the month end accounts, balance sheet reconciliations and other control accounts.
- Preparing monthly journals for depreciation, prepayments, accruals, etc.
- Analysing change and advising accordingly
- Compiling and interpreting cash flows positions
- Engage in ongoing cost reduction analyses in all areas of the company.
- Liaising with auditors to ensure annual audit is carried out correctly.
- Developing external relationships with appropriate contacts, e.g. auditors, and statutory organisations such as HMRC.
- Assisting in the preparation of company's budget
- Keeping abreast of changes in financial regulations and legislation.
- Preparation and submission of quarterly Sales & VAT returns, reconciling returns to control accounts and Sales.
- Other ad-hoc duties as required by your manager
Profile
A successful Management Accountant should have:
- Professional certification AAT level 4 or studying ACCA
- Proven experience in a similar role within the business services industry.
- Excellent knowledge of financial regulations and accounting processes.
- Proficiency in data analysis and statistical forecasting.
- Proficient IT skills, particularly in financial software applications.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Excellent analytical and strategic planning skills.
