Our client, a leading company in the Transmission and Distribution (T&D) sector, is currently seeking a Head of MV/HV Design to join their dynamic team on a permanent basis. This role involves leading and managing the design activities related to the electrical and civil elements of MV/HV substations, cables, and overhead lines (OHL). This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive and driven individual to help deliver major power projects within a vibrant industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leading and managing the design activities for MV/HV substations, cables, and OHL
- Overseeing services from feasibility design through to the preparation of technical specifications
- Production of construction drawings and ensuring design compliance throughout the design process
- Managing design teams, including sub-contractors and service providers
- Conducting design compliance audits and ensuring adherence to industry standards
- Building and maintaining relationships with stakeholders and team members
- Project management of large-scale projects in the T&D sector
Job Requirements:
- Experience in managing design teams and sub-contractors
- Significant experience in large-scale project management
- Strong background in the design of MV/HV substations, cables, and OHL
- Proven ability to deliver major power projects
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Proactive and driven approach to tasks
