New Vacancy: Adele Carr Recruitment is delighted to be supporting a growing organisation on the Wirral with the appointment of a Commercial Accountant on a full time, permanent basis.
Due to a recent promotion, there is a gap in the team for a newly qualified accountant (CIMA / ACCA). *Applicants who are part qualified and/or at finalist level will be considered.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent business acumen, enjoy drilling down on the numbers and happy to work across the business forging relationships with key stakeholders in production, sales and procurement.
The successful applicant will play a pivotal role within the business as you will take responsibility for analysing financial data, reviewing costs for materials, labour, production and seeing how this impacts the product and profits.
You will have superb inter-personal skills and the confidence to tell a story and translate this to the stakeholders, driving fact-based decision making. You will champion continuous process improvements and financial performance across the business.

The Commercial Accountant will be responsible for:
- Being a key point of contact within the team, providing daily financial insight and support to the wider business
- Providing analysis of costs, pricing and profitability.
- Driving fact-based decision making and collaborating across the business with several stakeholders
- Enhanced reporting of the business using advanced tools such as power BI.
- Spearhead continual process improvements and financial performance to support the UK Commercial function
- Being the go-to 'expert' on commercial finance processes, controls, reporting and data.
- Ad hoc projects and analysis
The ideal applicant, will be:
- Preferably, a fully qualified accountant, (CIMA, ACCA), with a proven, commercial background.
- Self-motivated with the drive to make a difference and add value
- Be confident when working with big data, strong analytic skills
- Ability to work on own initiative with minimal supervision.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- A team player with excellent communication skills who enjoys working collaboratively across the teams, capable of forging strong relationships across several departments.
- Possess strong excel skills, familiar with Power BI and ERP systems.
