Description

  • Processing, coding, and inputting supplier invoices into the accounting system
  • Managing supplier payment runs, including BACS and cheque payments
  • Reconciling supplier statements to ensure accurate records
  • Handling supplier queries and resolving discrepancies or payment issues
  • Maintaining accurate purchase ledger records and updating supplier accounts
  • Processing staff expense claims and matching purchase orders with invoices
  • Ensuring timely payment of all invoices in line with agreed terms
  • Liaising with internal departments and suppliers regarding invoice discrepancies
  • Assisting with month-end closing and preparing relevant reports for management
  • Other adhoc accounts duties.

Profile

A successful Accounts Assistant should have:

  • A strong understanding of accounting principles.
  • Proficiency in EXCEL
  • Excellent organisational skills.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • A high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • The ability to work as part of a team.
