The School and Role

This small, one-form entry school are looking to appoint a nurturing and passionate TA to support a child in year 4 and year 5 who has an EHCP in place for SEMH needs. The school are looking for a strong teaching assistant with experience of supporting children with SEND and are confident managing challenging behaviour.

You will be part of a key team around the individual children in order to maintain consistent support, communication and updated support plans. You will also have additional responsibilities around the school as part of your role.

Requirements

The desired Teaching Assistant will have;

  • Experience of working with primary school aged children
  • Experience working with children with SEND on a 1-1 basis
  • A passion for the progress of primary school pupils
  • An ability to work as part of a team
  • Have, or be prepared to undergo an Enhanced DBS check
