Role: Ornithologist

Location: Liverpool

Salary: £40k - £50k based on experience with flexible working

Comanos, part of the Cobalt Group, is working with a growing consultancy. This prestigious and progressive client is looking for an Ornithologist to join their in-house expanding ecology team.

Day to day responsibilities - depending on experience:

  • Experience in the UK ecological consultancy market, with a strong external-facing, client-orientated approach.
  • Managing projects from start to finish
  • Ornithology surveys
  • Proficiency in writing and quality assurance of reports, ensuring high standards and good attention to detail.
  • Engaging with clients, preparing quotes, and managing budgets
  • Familiar with the bird assemblages found in the UK and/or Ireland and can identify by sight and sound the characteristic species of each assemblage.
  • At all times, Health, Safety and Wellbeing will be a priority
  • Contributing to the Ecology Team's vision and growth strategy

Required skills and qualifications:

  • Degree in Ecology (or a directly related subject).
  • Excellent communication and data analysis skills.

Personal Skills:

  • Passionate about renewable energy.
  • Willingness to travel throughout the UK.
  • Basic GIS skills.
