Oakleaf Partnership are working with a growing business who are seeking an HR Advisor to join a dynamic team in Wirral, supporting one of their key business units. The role is a standalone HR role for this division and will play a crucial role in delivering expert guidance in a generalist capacity. This person will need strong experience in employee relations and relationship building and will thrive in a fast-paced environment. This is an exciting opportunity to really shape the HR function for this business unit. The role is based in Wirral and requires on-site presence 4-5 days a week.

What is the role?

As the sole HR Advisor for this division, you'll play a crucial role in delivering expert guidance on all aspects of employee relations, engagement, and HR best practice. You will act as a trusted partner to managers and employees, ensuring policies and procedures are effectively implemented and providing support on a range of HR matters.

Key responsibilities:

  • Provide expert advice and guidance to managers on employee relations matters, including disciplinaries, grievances, performance management, and flexible working.
  • Lead on case management for areas such as absence management, occupational health referrals, and redundancy/restructuring processes.
  • Work closely with the Talent Partner to support new hires through the onboarding process and manage probation reviews.
  • Develop and deliver training workshops to upskill line managers in key HR areas.
  • Analyse employee relations data to identify trends and drive continuous improvement.
  • Support employee engagement initiatives in collaboration with internal communications teams.
  • Ensure compliance with employment legislation and contribute to policy updates.
  • Take an active role in HR projects, helping to shape the people strategy.

Candidate profile/experience

The successful candidate will have a strong background in an HR Advisor role within a fast-paced environment. You will have proven ability with managing end-to-end employee relations casework. You will be a confident communicator with the ability to build relationships at all levels. You will have a data-driven approach and be able to use insights to drive decisions and improvements. Ideally, you will have a CIPD level 3 qualification or above.
