Academics is working with one of our client secondary schools based on the Wirral who are looking to appoint a Design Technology Technician to start ASAP on a fixed term contract.

Your new role

You will be supporting the Design Technology department on a full time basis (Monday - Friday 8:30-4:30).

You will provide a practical service to the school teaching staff through the maintenance, preparation and provision of equipment and materials to enable pupils to undertake design and technology activities, projects and exams.

For the role of DT Technician you will need to have:

  • Relevant qualifications in Design & Technology subjects
  • Relevant experience of usage, operation and maintenance of workshop equipment
  • The ability to build and form professional relationships with staff and pupils
  • A enhanced DBS registered to the update service or willing to get one
