Team Leader - Children’s Residential
  • Hourly Rate: £12 - £15 plus sleep rate £50+
  • Location: Wirral
  • Job Type: Full-time (24-hour shift pattern)

We are seeking a dedicated Team Leader to oversee a children’s residential facility. This role is ideal for someone passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of children and young people. The successful candidate will be a driver, hold a Level 3 qualification in a relevant field, and have at least 1 year of experience in a similar role.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Lead and manage a team of support workers to provide high-quality care and support to children and young people in a residential setting.
  • Ensure the effective implementation of care plans and the delivery of tailored support to meet the individual needs of residents.
  • Maintain a safe, nurturing environment that promotes the welfare and development of children and young people.
  • Work collaboratively with external agencies and stakeholders to ensure a coordinated approach to care and support.
  • Participate in the development and review of policies, procedures, and practices within the home.
  • Provide on-call support and guidance to staff during shifts, including sleep-in duties as required.
  • Monitor and report on the progress and outcomes for children and young people, ensuring that records are accurately maintained.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Must be a driver with access to a vehicle.
  • Hold a Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role within children’s residential care.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • A commitment to ongoing professional development.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, and standards governing children’s residential care.
