Job Description:We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team on a long-term basis. The successful candidate will work closely with teachers and other support staff to provide tailored assistance to students with special educational needs (SEN). This role is crucial in helping our students achieve their full potential and ensuring they have a positive and inclusive educational experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with SEN.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
  • Support classroom activities and help create an inclusive learning environment.
  • Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and external professionals to support student development.
  • Promote positive behaviour and social interactions amongst students.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children with SEN in a school setting.
  • A patient, empathetic, and supportive approach to working with students.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Full enhanced DBS check
  • Relevant qualifications or training in special educational needs (desirable).
