We are seeking a committed SEMH Teacher to join our team and provide valuable support and guidance to students who require additional assistance to thrive academically and socially.

Responsibilities:

  • Create and implement tailored lesson plans to meet the specific needs of students with SEMH.
  • Provide individualised support and accommodations for students with a wide range of disabilities and learning difficulties.
  • Foster an inclusive and supportive classroom environment that promotes the social and academic development of all students.
  • Collaborate with special education professionals, parents, and support staff to develop and review Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
  • Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting teaching methods and materials as necessary.
  • Utilise assistive technology and other resources to enhance the learning experience for students with SEND.
  • Maintain detailed records of student performance and development.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching certification.
  • This role is suitable for ECTs requiring induction completion.
  • Specialisation or additional training in Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) is highly desirable.
  • Experience working with students with SEND, including autism, MLD, SLD, and other complex disabilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine commitment to supporting the unique needs of students with SEND.
  • A clear background check and relevant safeguarding certifications may be required.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
