Zen Educate are seeking a passionate and dedicated Sports Coach to join an Alternative Provision School, based in the Wirral (CH41). This role would entail working with students aged 11-16 who have emotional or mental health support needs and provides a unique opportunity to make a positive impact on students' lives!This is a sports-based role and would require somebody with a coaching background or a passion for sports who would be able to support the students with football, netball, athletics etc.The Ideal Candidate:• Experience working in a sports coaching capacity, and comfortable using sports to engage students.• Ability to manage and support students with challenging behaviour and special educational needs.• Creative, adaptable, and ability to use initiative to develop strategies that foster student development both inside and outside the classroom.• Committed to the welfare and personal growth of students • Previous experience working in an alternative provision, SEN setting, or with disengaged youth would be highly advantageous.

Responsibilities: • Provide support for 11-16 year olds, enabling them to overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential.• Utilise sports and physical activities as a means of building rapport, enhancing student engagement, and developing social and emotional skills.• Support students with challenging behaviour and SEN such as ADHD by using tailored interventions that promote positive outcomes.• Assist students with their academic, emotional, and social development.• Help create a safe, supportive, and encouraging learning environment, promoting a sense of belonging and motivation.
