Our client, a leading FCA-regulated provider of guarantor loans, is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to build and develop a new finance team following a recent acquisition. This role is crucial in ensuring the continued success and compliance of the company, which prides itself on offering personalized services in a niche market.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Bank Account Reconciliation: Reconcile all bank accounts and post invoices to Xero.
  • Control Accounts: Reconcile all control accounts to maintain accuracy.
  • Month-End Journals: Prepare and produce month-end journals, ensuring timely reporting.
  • Management Accounts: Compile monthly management accounts for review with the Director.
  • Payroll Management: Produce weekly payroll, manage associated journals, and oversee staff pension payments.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting: Develop and maintain budget and forecast models.
  • Audit & Compliance: Assist with audits and ensure all FCA reporting requirements are met.
  • Regulatory Reporting: Handle quarterly CT61 submissions and Companies House submissions.
  • Asset Management: Maintain and review the asset register.
  • HR Support: Provide HR-related support to management.
  • Special Projects: Manage special projects, including R&D claims and insurance renewals.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Qualified Finance Manager (ACCA, CIMA, ACA).
  • Significant experience in the Financial Services sector.
  • Strong knowledge of audit, compliance, and regulatory reporting.
  • Proficient in Xero accounting software.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including lookups and pivot tables.
  • Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to self-review.
  • Strong communication skills, capable of liaising with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience in building and leading a finance team is a plus.
