Chief Financial Officer

SF Executive have been retained by a hugely successful (£5m EBITDA plus), private equity backed business to deliver a search for a Chief Financial Officer.

The business, within the distribution space, is growing quickly and the CEO needs the right financial leader to maximise that growth, and build a best in class finance process to ensure maximum value in a planned exit in 3-5 years.

As well has having a focus on getting the basics right (systems, procedures, reporting, risk management, cash generation) you'll be a true business partner to a talented CEO and also be the main conduit between the company and its various stakeholders - private equity investors / banks / non execs / the wider Board.

This business is based in the North West of England, and though there will be some level of flexibility available for the right candidate, you will need to be immersed in the business at least 3 days a week, and possibly more early on in your tenure.

Given this role will attract a 6 figure salary with equity potential likely to be 7 figures, we would expect you to have experience of one, or more of the below, as the standalone number 1 in finance:

- a PE to trade exit in product based business (Distribution / FMCG / Manufacturing)
- a private to trade exit in a similarly relevant business
- a PE to PE exit in a a similarly relevant business
- a significant PE fundraise within a similarly relevant business
