A truly exceptional, career defining opportunity for a CIMA, ACCA, ACA, or CIPFA Qualified (or later stages active studier) Finance Business Partner/Commercial Management Accountant to join a highly regarded, award-winning business based in Preston. Joining a friendly and collaborative Finance Business Partner and Management Accounting team - and reporting to a very impressive Commercial Financial Controller - your remit will include:

  • Working with the Senior Finance Business partner and in partnership with Senior Management and Budget Holders across your own business areas.
  • Providing influential financial insight - backed up by relevant information - to support corporate financial strategies and tactical plans.
  • Supporting ongoing operational and tactical decision making.
  • "Whatif" scenario modelling and planning - ensuring consideration is given to the financial implications of all decisions.
  • Providing financial analysis to both finance and non-finance managers.
  • Appraisal of business cases, business change proposals and tender submissions from a finance perspective.
  • Ensuring that the Budget Holders adhere to Financial Regulations and recognises corporate financial strategy in their tactical and operations plans.
  • Preparing and presenting analysis of the financial plans and performance of the budgets to the rest of the Senior Operational Management Team and lead budget holders.

To meet our clients criteria, you will be fully Qualified CIMA, ACCA, ACA, or CIPFA and will ideally hold an accounting & finance (or related degree) although this is not essential. Later stage active studiers with relevant Management Accounting/Business Partnering experience will also be considered - so long as there is a clear commitment and evidence of working towards achieving full qualification. You will have excellent communication skills, and the gravitas and personality required to forge strong relationships with colleagues at all levels as well as an ethos of working in collaboration to achieving the highest possible standards. Salary £49-58k (Possibly some flex on this) depending on qualification and experience, 30 days annual leave plus an additional 4 days leave Christmas + 8 Bank Holidays, Study Support (as required), 36.25 hours per week, Hybrid working (minimum 3 days per week in the office), Flexible working, Training and development program, Various company perks and discounts and 10% pension.
