Financial Controller

Simpson Judge is working in partnership with a growing SME, easily commutable from Preston, Blackburn and Chorley, to recruit a Financial Controller. The successful candidate will run the finance team and support the Finance Director in establishing a robust and commercial finance function. This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified accountant, looking for a step up.

This is an office based role.Salary: £60,000-£65,000Responsibilities:* Production of monthly management accounts, including balance sheet, P&L, variance analysis and commentary* Cost centre analysis and reporting* Monthly balance sheet reconciliation and presenting summary reports to the Finance Director* Reviewing financial performance of each department with the Board and making recommendations* Full responsibility for production of company budgets* Continuous development and improvement of financial controls* Cash flow management, including forecasting & reporting* Assisting with system implementations and integrations* Oversight of statutory returns and supervision of both monthly and weekly payroll* Lead on external audit and liaising with auditorsRequirements:* ACA/ACCA/CIMA Qualified* Team management experience* Advanced Excel skills* Strong data manipulation skills, with the ability to extract and identify issues* Manufacturing experience is preferable* Strong costing knowledge
