Management Accountant - Commercial Finance

Our client, a pioneering business when it comes to sustainability and the environment, is seeking a talented Management Accountant with a strong focus on commercial finance to join their finance team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in providing financial analysis, reporting, and insights to support strategic decision-making and drive profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and present detailed financial reports, including budget forecasts, variance analysis, and profitability assessments.
- Analyse commercial performance metrics and identify trends, opportunities, and risks.
- Develop and maintain financial models to support commercial decision-making.
- Assist in the preparation and management of budgets and forecasts for commercial operations.
- Collaborate with commercial teams to understand business objectives and provide financial insights.
- Evaluate and analyze cost structures, identifying opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvements.
- Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to commercial activities.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations, company policies, and internal controls.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Professional accounting qualification (e.g., CIMA, ACCA, or equivalent) preferred.
- Proven experience (3+ years) in a management accounting role with a focus on commercial finance.
- Strong understanding of financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Experience working with commercial teams and providing financial insights for business decisions.
- Advanced proficiency in financial software - Xero & Fathom.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
