Our client, a reputable organisation, is seeking a capable and motivated individual to join their team as an Accounts Assistant. This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to take full control of the purchase ledger, ensuring smooth and efficient financial management.

Responsibilities:

  • Process and match invoices, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
  • Close the ledger monthly, maintaining accurate records
  • Raise weekly and monthly payments, adhering to payment schedules
  • Produce and review aged creditor reports, addressing any discrepancies
  • Assist with invoice queries, providing timely and effective resolutions
  • Manage expense reports, ensuring proper documentation and reimbursement
  • Support the Financial Controller with bank reconciliations and VAT returns
  • Conduct balance sheet reconciliations, highlighting any variances
  • Post journals, accruals, and prepayments accurately and in a timely manner
  • Update cash-flow reports, maintaining accurate cash position information
  • Maintain the fixed asset register efficiently, ensuring accurate records
  • Perform stock reconciliations, identifying and resolving any discrepancies
  • Assist with payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines
