Part Time Accounts Assistant (FTC)

Hybrid - 2 days onsite, 1 day home working

As an Accounts Assistant, you will be a vital member of the finance team, predominantly working within accounts payable. You will ensure the completion of tasks to meet strict monthly deadlines while collaborating closely with both internal colleagues and external suppliers. Your role will encompass a variety of essential duties, including:

  • Scanning and entering purchase expense invoices, ensuring accurate coding.
  • Matching and entering purchase order invoices.
  • Running goods received not invoiced reports to maintain financial efficiency.
  • Reconciling bank statements to ensure account accuracy.
  • Reconciliation of supplier statements to uphold financial agreements.
  • Producing data required for sustainability certification processes.
  • Preparing and filing statistical reports for the Office of National Statistics.
  • Downloading and processing monthly bank reports on expenses.
  • Setting up new supplier accounts, maintaining existing account details for optimal reporting.

To be successful in this role, you should possess a strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows packages and demonstrate exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills. The ability to meet deadlines and work independently while also contributing as a team player is essential. You will need excellent communication and organisational skills to manage a busy workload effectively. Ideally, you will have at least one year of relevant experience within a retail, warehouse, or distribution environment.
