Senior Avionics Systems Engineer (Safety)

Requirements:

  • A degree in a STEM subject or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Strong Systems Engineering background from either Aerospace or Defense sectors.
  • A degree in a relevant Engineering subject or equivalent relevant experience
  • Strong Systems Engineering background from either the Aerospace or Defense sectors
  • Proven experience of requirements capture and requirements management
  • Strong understanding of the relationship between requirements and their impact on platform and equipment
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Proven experience in stakeholder management
  • Proven ability to write formal project documentation

Responsibilities:

  • Work with a level of autonomy, assisting the Team Leader in discharging duties across the team.
  • Conduct and co-ordinate reviews with internal and external stakeholders and provide feedback to the wider team.
  • Prepare, issue, and maintain AVS Safety documentation for Development and Production releases through the analysis of Fault Tree models.
  • Review design changes and associated Hazard Analysis updates to determine their impact on the Avionics Systems Safety Assessment.
  • Determine non-compliance and develop mitigating arguments to deliver information and feedback to Customers.
  • Develop and maintain failure mode architecture models for use by other systems that rely on AVS for mitigation of their hazards.
