Facilities Coordinator

Location: Hutton, Preston

Pay rate: £12.68 per hour

Job Type: Full-Time Temporary

We are seeking an Facilities Coordinator to manage the service and repair portal and provide administrative support to the Estates and Facilities Management Department. The ideal candidate will ensure an efficient and cost-effective maintenance response service, manage repair-line services, and support the Estates technical professional staff.

Day-to-day of the role:

Interpret maintenance requests and allocate contractors within agreed technical and financial parameters.

Manage the Estates repair-line service, monitor reactive requests, and analyse performance of contractors.

Collate and interpret engineers’ reports to ensure statutory remedial action is taken.

Coordinate with internal business support teams.

Input and interrogate technical information within various CAFM systems.

Manage the collection of meter readings across the county.

Monitor and control estate-related utilities and services and conduct site audits as necessary.

Understand and interpret risk assessments & method statements to issue permits to work.

Assist in procuring service contracts and construction quotations and tenders in line with procurement directives.

Administer, process, and approve requisitioning of purchase orders and financial documents.

Support the Estates Department with administrative duties, including arranging meetings and minute-taking.

Participate in the ‘out of hours’ on-call rota.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Experience in administrative support within an estates or facilities management context.

Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

Excellent communication skills and the ability to handle enquiries tactfully.

Ability to work flexibly and participate in an on-call rota.
