Business Development Manager required for a conveyor belt manufacturer for various different industries including FMCG. The successful candidate would be based in Lancashire, Cheshire, Greater Manchester or West Yorkshire close to central part of M62 corridor (the role will be covering Northern England, Scotland, Northern Ireland and Ireland). The majority of business will be based in England. Please note that this role involves extensive travel and overnight stays and requires a full UK drivers licence.

We require a self-motivated, business development, technically biased individual to join our professional Sales Team to develop and maintain the company's business in Northern England, Scotland, Northern Ireland, and Ireland. Reporting into the Sales and Marketing Manager, the responsibilities of the role include:

  • Seek opportunities to provide technical and commercial support to new and existing customers including site audits and customer training.
  • Identify, monitor and liaise with new and existing customers to build and maintain effective relationships.
  • Help customer maintain Wire Belt products to maximise the total cost of ownership and minimise production down time
  • Research and develop opportunities to grow new business.
  • Prepare sales forecasts and monthly reports to monitor sales performance.
  • Provide customer, competitor, and marketing data with the aim to grow turnover, volume, and profitability.
  • Assist in developing and executing the company's Sales & Marketing Strategy and Group Accounts
  • Identify and manage threats and opportunities to the company's business.
