Job Overview:

They are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Contracts Manager to join their team based in Preston. The candidate must have proven experience managing within the roofing industry, preferably as a Contracts Manager. As Contracts Manager, you will oversee the successful delivery of multiple roofing projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage the full life cycle of roofing contracts, from negotiation and drafting to execution and final completion
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, quality standards, and relevant industry guidelines.
  • Monitor project progress, resolve issues, and implement corrective actions where necessary to meet deadlines and budget constraints.
  • Prepare and manage project budgets and schedules, ensuring financial control.
  • Lead and supervise on-site teams, ensuring that work is carried out to the highest standards.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Liaise with senior management to provide regular project updates and forecasts.
  • Ensure smooth handover of projects to clients and internal teams once completed.

Requirements:

  • Significant management experience within the roofing industry, prerferably as a Contracts manager.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • In-depth knowledge of roofing systems, industry standards, and best practices.
  • Proven track record of delivering projects on time, within budget, and to the highest quality.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact confidently with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think on your feet.
  • Experience with budgeting, contract negotiations, and project scheduling.
  • Ability to lead, motivate, and manage a team to achieve project goals.
  • A proactive approach to health and safety and a commitment to maintaining high standards on site.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across multiple sites.
