Are you looking for an opportunity to lead a nursing team in a leading Brain Injury Specialist?

We are looking for a compassionate and motivated Head of Care for a Neurological care service based in Preston. Working with a fantastic team for a well respected national provider specialising in brain injury, they are looking for a qualified Registered General Nurse with leadership experience to take responsibility for the healthcare needs of individuals in the service.

Leading, developing and directing the nursing and support team, the Head of Care will guide and enable people with brain injuries in the performance of daily living functions.

Duties and responsibilities include:

  • Assisting the Service Manager in the continuing responsibility for the management of the unit
  • Demonstrating professional leadership and hands on support.
  • Line Management responsibilities for the nurse team, ensuring that standards are identified and met
  • Leading on quality assurance audits and clinical governance
  • Leading on the assessment, planning, delivery, evaluation and review of individualised evidence-based care and support, co-ordinating and training other staff.
  • Providing training and support for others to refer to appropriate external agencies, and leading on health emergencies.
