Team Manager - Residential Support Service

Halcyon Care North West is proud to be partnering with a local residential support service. We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Team Manager to join our management team and make a difference in the lives of our residents.

Job Description

Accountable to: Operational Manager / Registered ManagerHours of Work: An average of 39.5 hours per week.Schedule: 3 days on, 3 days off over a 6-week rota.Days: Monday - Sunday (may vary based on service needs)Salary: £36,828 per annumHolidays: 6.6 weeks per annum, including statutory Bank/Public Holidays

Job Purpose:

As a vital member of the Residential Services Management Team, you will oversee daily operations, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, person-centered care to our residents. Your role includes promoting independence and creating a safe and supportive environment tailored to meet the individual needs of residents.

General Duties:

  • Ensure compliance with current legislation, organisational policies, and standards.
  • Maintain clear and accurate records in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate effectively with all team members and foster a positive team atmosphere.
  • Build constructive relationships within the team and with external stakeholders.

Team Manager Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality care that prioritizes the well-being of residents.
  • Ensure services adequately reflect the diverse ethnic, religious, cultural, and linguistic needs of residents.
  • Uphold and implement CQC Fundamental Standards in service delivery.
  • Provide leadership and support to care staff, championing residents’ safety and dignity.
  • Manage the keyworker system to cultivate supportive and interactive relationships with allocated residents.
  • Oversee medication management and ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Address any emergencies efficiently and support colleagues during challenging situations.
  • Understand and apply the Mental Capacity Act (2005) and Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards in practice.
  • Participate in multi-agency meetings, advocating for residents’ needs in collaboration with healthcare professionals.
  • Foster positive relationships with partner agencies, promoting a strong image of the service.
  • Conduct staff supervisions and annual appraisals, supporting professional development.
  • Promote activity-based care philosophies, ensuring residents lead fulfilling lives.
  • Maintain high standards of infection control and assist residents in their personal health and hygiene needs.
  • Ensure comprehensive handover processes facilitate the smooth transfer of information between staff.
  • Uphold meticulous record-keeping as per the Health & Social Care Act (2012) and CQC standards.

Health & Safety:

  • Promote health, safety, and security in accordance with our Health & Safety Policy.
  • Ensure a safe environment for residents and report maintenance concerns promptly.
  • Conduct regular health and safety checks, addressing any identified issues.
  • Follow infection prevention protocols to maintain a safe and tidy workspace.

Learning and Development:
