H9 Technical Recruitment are partnered with an established client specialising in the design, installation, and operation of decentralised energy generation and multi-utility network distribution schemes. Due to the company's continuing growth, they have opportunities for Controls & Instrumentation(C&I) Design Engineers to strengthen the existing Engineer teams.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Leading medium to large scale projects on Energy Control Systems, from concept through to detailed design
  • Serving as technical lead for design and implementation of control and safety systems
  • Preparing plans and estimates for tender proposals
  • Producing system documentation including system architecture, control, ladder logic and control system software specifications
  • Assessing and capturing project requirements, developing design proposals
  • Attending HAZOP assessments, design reviews and project meetings
  • Providing engineering support during construction and commissioning
  • Mentoring junior engineers and providing technical guidance to the design team

Skills & Qualifications

HND/Degree Level in Electrical/Controls/Instrumentation Discipline

Experience working on energy controls system design (ideally within the energy /building services sector)

Knowledge of BMS/PLC's including programming and commissioning is desirable

Experience within HAZOP/HAZID
