Head of Group ReportingEast Lancashire£95k - £100k + Attractive Bonus & BenefitsAxon Moore are exclusively partnering with a leading PE-Backed Services business as they embark on a search for a new Head of Group Reporting. Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, the Head of Group Reporting will be responsible for the key financial and accounting functions, group consolidation, and be a key contributor and driver of the upcoming finance transformation/automation project.This position will be an initial 12 month contract with a view to go permanent, therefore a short notice or immediate availability is a preference.Key responsibilities will include:
  • Lead the accounting and financial reporting functions within the group, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Be a key business partner, confidant to the Group Financial Controller
  • Develop comprehensive and leading accounting policies, processes and procedures required to maintain a strong control environment.
  • Responsible for the 1st review and maintenance of the Group consolidation and accurate accounting adherence under IFRS16
  • Responsibility for the consolidation and timely and accurate preparation of the Group financial reporting, including:
    • Monthly, quarterly, half yearly and annual reporting to local authorities and Group.
    • Liaison with external auditors, preparation and management of audit processes and sign off of respective management representations
    • Manage key financial relationships: Auditors, Regulators, etc
    • Corporate oversight and control of Group Assets
This would suit a technically strong ACA/ACCA accountant from a Big4/Top10 practice who has a vast amount of experience in a large-scale complex, high pace organisations. This is an office based role but does operate flexible working hours.
