Finance Manager - 12-Month Fixed Term Contract

Accountable Recruitment are delighted to be partnering with a growing Legal firm in Preston that is seeking to appoint an experienced Finance Manager on a 12-month fixed-term contract, covering maternity leave.This is a fantastic opportunity for a finance professional to join a reputable firm and play a key role in financial management, ensuring compliance, efficiency, and strategic planning.

Salary/Benefits:

Job Duties:

  • Oversee day-to-day financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
  • Prepare and present financial reports, including P&L, balance sheets, and variance analysis.
  • Ensure compliance with industry-specific financial regulations.
  • Support month-end and year-end financial reporting processes.
  • Work closely with department heads to monitor financial performance and provide commercial insights.
  • Manage relationships with external auditors, banks, and key stakeholders.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance financial efficiency and control.
  • Lead and support the finance team, ensuring effective collaboration and development.

Who will I report in to?Finance Director

Ideal Experience:

  • ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified (or qualified by experience).
  • Proven experience in financial management, reporting, and compliance.
  • Strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience working with accounting software and financial systems.
  • Knowledge of the professional services sector is desirable, preferably within the Legal Sector
