ROLE: Contentious Probate Solicitor 1-3 Years PQESALARY: DOELOCATION: Clitheroe or Preston

Typical duties will be: * Handling a busy caseload with minimal supervision* Developing relationships with clients and surpassingtheir expectations* Participating in marketing activities and activelypromote the firm's full range of services but toconcentrate primarily on probate matters generally* Managing client work allocated by the Head ofDepartment or other fee-earners and in accordancewith policies, procedures and quality standards* Ensuring that all client work is progressedexpeditiously, and that the client is kept regularlyinformed on realistic outcomes, progress and oncosts* Ensuring the confidentiality and security of all thefirm's and client documentation and information inline with Law Society & GDPR regulations* Achieving agreed levels of billing and time recordingper annum* Developing good working relationships with internaland external institutions and organisations* Providing support to the other team members asrequired* Understanding and contributing to the team'sobjectives plus working to promote the firm's values

Skills and Experience* 1-3 years PQE essential* At least 40% of previous caseload should becontentious trust and probate related* Experience of non-contentious privateclient work would be advantageous* Ability to progress work quickly with an eyefor detail* Excellent client facing skills with the abilityto nurture existing clients and third-partyrelationships as well as the ability to helpdevelop new business and assist innetworking events* Excellent organisation, communication andpotential leadership skills* Ability to prioritise work and to work tostrict timescales where required* Empathy, compassion and maturity* Ambition to learn and make a difference tothe firm* Ability to develop new sources of work andintroductions* Excellent IT skills including the use of casemanagement systems previously (ideallySOS* Ability to work as part of the team, showflexibility in attitude and behaviour* Ability to work pro-actively, handling avarying caseload
