We are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity to join a visionary Multi Academy Trust that is piloting a programme aimed at addressing low attendance within identified pupil cohorts. We are looking for dedicated and passionate English, Maths, and Science tutors with QTS to provide curriculum-based catch-up support for learners in KS3 and KS4.
The morning sessions (9:00am - 11:45am) will focus on supporting a small group (1:3) of KS3 learners, while the afternoon sessions (12:00pm - 2:45pm) will support a small group of KS4 learners. These roles are particularly suited to individuals with a background in SEN/SEMH. The aim is to upskill students in core subjects, improve their self-confidence, and help them reintegrate into their main educational setting to access full-time learning.
Responsibilities

Deliver tailored tutoring sessions that meet the individual needs of each student, in alignment with PEPs, EHCPs, and classroom teaching where appropriate.

Teach specific core subject booster sessions to ensure students grasp key concepts, improve academic performance, and boost personal confidence.

Develop engaging lesson plans that cater to various learning styles and abilities.

Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to encourage ongoing development.

Communicate effectively with students, parents, and educators to ensure a collaborative approach to learning.

Maintain a positive and supportive learning environment that fosters confidence and motivation.
Experience

Previous experience in tutoring or teaching is essential, with a focus on providing educational support to KS3 and KS4 students.

Strong communication skills are necessary to convey information clearly and engage students effectively.
