We are seeking a motivated and experiencedStop Smoking Advisorto join a team in Preston. This is a temporary position for an initial period of 3 months, with the possibility of extension. As a Stop Smoking Advisor, you will work closely with individuals to support them in quitting smoking, providing evidence-based advice and tailored interventions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 and group-based support to clients looking to stop smoking.
  • Offer behavioral support and pharmacotherapy advice in line with the National Centre for Smoking Cessation and Training (NCSCT) guidelines.
  • Conduct initial assessments and follow-up appointments.
  • Maintain accurate records and update client information on the relevant databases.
  • Monitor client progress and adapt interventions where necessary to ensure the best outcomes.

Requirements:

  • NCSCT Level 2 trained(essential).
  • Previous experience in a similar role, ideally within a Stop Smoking service or healthcare environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and support clients from diverse backgrounds.
  • Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
