This is a very exciting and progressive opportunity for a Health and Safety Manager looking to progress within a leading Food Manufacturer in the UK. This is an onsite role based out of Preston, Monday to Friday.  The client is a very successful family ran business that has progressed through generations to become what it is today. With over 500 staff in the organisation, the client provides to the major UK Leading Supermarkets. The business is very much a modern organisation using state of the art technology to continue their development.The Health and Safety Manager will be responsible for:
  • The Health and Safety Manager will effectively deliver a Health and Safety culture across all the business
  • Ensure all compliance has been completed or audit purposes
  • Ensure proactive measures are in place to prevent any major accidents or hazards.
  • Undertake investigations were necessary to discover root cause of any Health and Safety issue and implement procedures to reduce future risk.
  • Preparing and enforcing policies to establish a culture of health and safety.
The Health and Safety Manager will need to have: 
  • NEBOSH
  • Ability to plan and organise own workload
  • Able to work under pressure
  • Capability of working alone and as part of a wider team
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Driving License (Potential Travel Required)
