Engineering Manager

Working hours: Monday to Friday 8:30am - 17:00pm

Location: Preston

FMCG or Pharmacutical Experience Needed

Job Role:

The role will work closely with the head of operations and lead the maintenance department. Using strong leadership experience the successful candidate will maximise production across the site whilst adhering to strict GMP and SOP guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Effectively lead the team to maximise performance allocating all maintenance tasks throughout the team.
  • Carry out emergency repairs as necessary, keeping 'down time 'to a minimum.
  • Perform work out of hours to avoid disruption to production when required.
  • Take the lead in the implementation and leadership of all engineering safe working practices such as permit to work systems, ensuring full statutory and legislative compliance
  • Manage all the engineering maintenance activities of the Site ensuring all safe working practices are followed including Control of Contractor management, LOTO etc
  • Train and develop the team, conduct annual appraisals, and create Personal Development Plans (PDPs) aligned with the Business Plan to ensure staff meet organizational needs.
  • Evaluate job roles and manage staff performance, attendance, sickness, and holidays to maintain productivity and meet targets.
