We are hiring at various levels for an experienced, highly-skilled Engineering Manager to join our clients team. This position offers the opportunity to work within a leading air defence organisation to deliver complex and defence solutions. You will have the opportunity to lead highly-skilled engineers throughout the concept development, delivery and in-service use of cutting-edge air defence solutions across their lifecycle.

Roles & Responsibilities

As an experienced Engineering Manager, you will:

Lead and manage a team across various areas such as Bid Management, System Architecting, System Design, System Realisation, Test & Evaluation, Configuration Control, Requirements Management and Product Qualification/Certification operations.

Lead the development of new concept system engineering solutions and provide ongoing support to in-service products/services across electric air vehicle, un-crewed air vehicle and GCAP sectors.

Collaborate with engineering, project management and HR functions to support the implementation of your engineering experience and industry knowledge within your team.

Propose and implement engineering and business solutions to overcome issues during product development ensuring solutions are delivered in line with good engineering practices and governance.

Evaluate and manage the maturity of engineering solutions as they develop, taking corrective action where necessary to ensure optimal efficiency.

Skills & Experience

As an Engineering Manager, you will require:

Essential

Excellent leadership, team management and communication skills.

Prior management and adherence to engineering standards and governance procedures

Desirable

Degree in a STEM subject or chartered experience working within a highly-regulated engineering industry.

Experience working with highly-regulated engineering tools and methods in adherence with engineering industry standards.

Experience working with model-based engineering approaches alongside supporting methods and toolsets within the industry.

Experience implementing system engineering activities towards the development of complex engineering solutions.
