About the Role

We're looking for a proactive and knowledgeable Facilities Management Compliance Manager to join our commercial property team. In this pivotal role, you'll be responsible for ensuring statutory and regulatory compliance across our portfolio of commercial assets including office buildings, retail units, and mixed-use developments.

You'll work closely with property managers, contractors, and occupiers to ensure all sites meet health, safety, and environmental standards, helping us deliver best-in-class, compliant spaces for our clients and tenants.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of facilities compliance across a diverse commercial property portfolio.
  • Overseeing the asset management system and ensuring timely, accurate updates by external service providers, and maintain up-to-date records, certifications, and compliance documentation for all buildings and plant.
  • Lead on statutory inspections and audits covering fire safety, water hygiene, asbestos, lift safety, electrical systems, and more.
  • Monitoring supplier performance against contract KPIs to maintain estate and asset standards and ensure contractors and service providers are meeting all legal obligations and performance KPIs.
  • Collaborate with property managers, asset managers, and occupiers to resolve compliance issues effectively and efficiently.
  • Analysing performance of planned/reactive maintenance programmes and driving improvements
  • Monitor changes in relevant legislation and implement necessary updates to compliance strategies and procedures.
  • Assisting in lifecycle planning, financial analysis, and asset performance reporting
  • Contributing to H&S compliance by supporting audits and monitoring supply chain performance
  • Ensuring asset registers are accurate and updated post-project handovers
  • Producing detailed asset and compliance reports for internal and external stakeholders
  • Champion a culture of safety, quality, and accountability across all facilities operations.

About You

  • Strong background in facilities management, ideally in a compliance, asset or property management role, within commercial property.
  • In-depth knowledge of UK compliance requirements and industry best practices (e.g. H&S, SFG20, RICS, ISO standards).
  • Familiarity with managing compliance across large, multi-let and multi-site commercial property portfolios.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to juggle multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Confident communicator with strong stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Ideally solid knowledge of M&E systems, including plant rooms and fire sprinkler systems
  • Experience using CAFM and compliance tracking systems.
  • A customer-focused mindset with a commitment to high-quality service
  • Willingness to travel nationwide as needed
