A leading manufacturer of personal care and cosmetic products has partnered with Woodstock Recruitment to hire a new Quality Assistant to their team.

Do you have previous quality experience working in a factory / manufacturing environment?

Do you have prior experience of working within an FMCG environment, such as food, chemicals, personal care or cosmetic manufacturing?

Have you worked within a GMP manufacturing environment?

Key responsibilities:

  • Involvement in all consumer and customer complaints ensuring that all complaints are investigated and appropriate actions taken to ensure consumer and customer confidence is maintained
  • To be the first point of contact should any complaint or non conformity be raised. Ensuring that all stock is quarantined and that root cause analysis is completed.
  •  Manage the HACCP review and associated reports and documents
  • Manage the GMP audit system ensuring a fair and clear assessment of operational standards
  •  Assist in the management of supplier non-conformances ensuring timely communication for resolution
  • Assist in the management of all site external calibrations ensuring full compliance to accreditation and customer requirements
  • Support Production by carrying out line quality checks
  • Prepare reports for weekly Quality meeting where required
  • Carry out QESH internal audits as required
  • To promote Health & Safety policy and procedure, ensuring a safe working environment at all times
  • When requested to provide cover within the Quality Lab or to support the Technologist during absences or busy periods. 

Skills, experience and qualifications:

  • Science qualification preferred, ideally degree/HNC/HND
  • Experience from a previous quality function wtihin a manufacturing envirnment
  • Experience and competence with numerical calculations as part of your role
  • Ideally knowledge of basic laboratory procedures
