Please get in touch for this fantastic opportunity!! We are seeking a Skilled Calibration Engineer to join our UKAS-accredited Dimensional Laboratory. In this role, you will be responsible for the calibration of various precision measuring instruments, ensuring compliance with industry standards and customer requirements. Occasional on-site work at customer premises may be required.Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform calibration and verification of dimensional measuring instruments, including dial gauges, gauge blocks, micrometers, and screw gauges.
  • Ensure accurate and traceable calibration in compliance with UKAS accreditation and industry standards.
  • Maintain detailed calibration records and ensure documentation meets audit requirements.
  • Identify and troubleshoot calibration issues, providing technical solutions where necessary.
  • Assist with continuous improvement initiatives to enhance calibration processes.
  • Occasionally travel to customer sites to provide on-site calibration services.
Qualifications:
  • HNC/BTEC Higher (Mechanical or Production Engineering) preferred.
  • Older applicants with City & Guilds or ONC qualifications are also encouraged to apply.
Experience & Skills:
  • Extensive experience within a dimensional calibration laboratory, ideally within a UKAS-accredited environment.
  • Strong technical and practical skills, with an interest in problem-solving and continuous learning.
  • A methodical and detail-oriented approach to work.
  • Excellent handwriting and documentation skills for accurate record-keeping.
  • A strong work ethic, with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Full UK driving license (advantageous but not essential).
Training & Development
  • Some in-house training will be provided.
  • This role requires previous calibration experience.
