They are committed to developing talent and providing long-term career growth opportunities.In this role, the Operations Technician / Mechanical Fitter is responsible for planned, preventative, and breakdown maintenance of generator sets and associated equipment. Additionally, they will ensure safe working practices are adhered to while assisting in the maintenance of the landfill gas collection system and associated equipment.The ideal Operations Technician / Mechanical Fitter must have experience in power generation, particularly in the operations and maintenance of reciprocating engines. They should be safety-focused and skilled in both preventative and breakdown maintenance. Additionally, they must be self-motivated, adaptable, and capable of working both independently and as part of a team.The Role:
- Perform planned, preventative, and breakdown maintenance of generator sets and associated equipment.
- Maintain the landfill gas collection system and associated equipment.
- Monday to Friday - 40 hours per week.
- Covering sites in Accrington, Fylde, Skelbrooke, Bishop Auckland, and Bolam.
- On-call rotation (one in five weeks, once fully trained).
The Person:
- Previous work with landfill gas collection systems and related equipment
- Experience in planned, preventative, and breakdown maintenance of generator sets and associated equipment.
- Experience in power generation
- Full UK driving licence required.
