Overview:

We are currently recruiting for a skilled and experienced Mobile Plant Fitter with experience of welding and fabricating, this is an excellent opportunity where you'll play a crucial role in maintaining and repairing a variety of mobile plant and equipment.

The Role:

As a Mobile Plant Fitter, you will:

• Repair and maintain a wide range of mobile plant equipment.
• Service and repair mobile plant engines, including engine overhauls and diagnostics.
• Fabricate simple repairs to keep plant machinery in top condition.
• Order and fit spare parts to ensure minimal downtime and efficient repairs.
• Accurately complete paperwork for traceability and audits.
• Manage your workload to ensure plant equipment is ready when needed.
• Work on various plant equipment, including 360-degree excavators, shovels, FLT's, tractor & trailer units, teleporters, crushers, bailers, and conveyor systems.
• Carry out service inspections and ensure all equipment complies with safety and quality standards.

What We're Looking For:

• A proven hands on Mechanical Engineer with experience in mobile plant maintenance and repair.
• Proficiency in diesel and gas engine diagnostics and repairs.
• Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Hands-on experience with HGV and construction machinery.
• Ability to perform welding and fabrication tasks.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• A proactive approach to managing workload and ensuring timely equipment availability.
